Through providing information, support and advocacy, the Advocate Office will act with and on children and youth's behalf to ensure that they receive appropriate designated government services and in doing so, have their heard and their rights respected.

Designated services are government funded services or programs for children and youth including but not limited to: education, child protection, foster care, adoption, guardianship, disabilities, mental health, addiction services, and youth justice.

When you call the Advocate Office you will talk to an Advocate who will listem to your concerns, clarify your information and review any steps that have already been taken.

We receive calls from people like you who are committed to protecting the rights of children and youth in Yukon. Unless we receive a report of physical, sexual or emotional abuse, all calls remain confidential.
